I’m Lisa and I’m an Australian videographer based in Tokyo, Japan.

I am a completely self-taught videographer and I make documentary-style videos inspired by story, curiosity and human connection.

I search for meaning in the quiet, human moments we all recognise.
I want to make stories that connect people with each other and remind us that no matter where we’re from or what we do, deep down we are more alike than we are different.

To me, Formula 1 is ultimately about people. Beneath the speed and spectacle is a human story about strength, community, resilience and the relentless pursuit of something greater than yourself.

Earlier this year I produced, filmed and edited a short documentary about a female-led community of swimmers in Australia’s Bellarine Peninsula.

Known as the ā€˜Salty Bitches’, I wanted to understand their why.

Shot on one camera and one lens in just one week. Some people told me that the documentary made them cry.

People swimming in the ocean during sunset or sunrise, with clouds in the sky and a lighthouse in the distance.
A sunset over a body of water with a pier extending into the water, several swimmers, trees along the shoreline, and pink and orange clouds in the sky.
Person sitting in the water near shore during dusk or dawn with cargo ships visible in the distance under cloudy sky.
Close-up of ocean water with small waves and ripples reflecting pink and purple hues from the sky.

For three months I spent every Sunday at Tokyo’s Yoyogi Park filming and interviewing the iconic rockabilly group, the Strangers.

Filmed entirely solo, their story had never been shared like this in English, and I wanted to be the first to do it.

After this documentary they made me an honorary member!

A person with dark, wavy hair wearing glasses and a denim jacket is spray painting on a surface outdoors, with a blurred background.
A man with glasses and a cigarette in his mouth wearing a leather jacket, standing outdoors with a group of people in the background.

Yoshio Nakajima is a globally-acclaimed contemporary and experimental artist with an insatiable desire to create art.

I visited Nakajima-san at his home on the outskirts of Tokyo to learn more about his creation process.

Despite generational and cultural differences, I learned a lot about myself through him.

Open magazines on a dark surface, showcasing black and white images and text, including a photo of a smiling woman and various articles.

A person with a black wristwatch is flipping through pages of a magazine or art book, displaying black and white abstract artwork.

I was contacted by Esses Magazine through Instagram to film social content with the one and only, Yuki Tsunoda.

The brief was to craft thoughtful videos that highlighted Yuki's personality through his love of food. The focus was on building rapport and capturing authentic moments in an engaging way.

Maybe the best day of my life?

A woman with long, curly, reddish hair stands outdoors next to a large tree trunk covered in ivy. She is wearing a light-colored, long-sleeve top and dark jeans, and is looking towards the camera with a gentle smile. Sunlight filters through the trees, creating a soft, natural light in the background.

I’m proud to be part of a growing community of female fans who connect with the sport through their own lens.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my work.
