YouTube Ishigaki Island Travel Video

Project: Travel Video Production for Tokyo Weekender

Ishigaki Island, part of Japan's Okinawa Prefecture, is a place where nature takes center stage. Crystal-clear waters, untouched beaches, dense mangrove forests, and some of the most vibrant coral reefs in the world. Beyond its breathtaking landscapes, the island is rich in Ryukyu culture, with deep-rooted traditions, local craftsmanship, and a laid-back island lifestyle that makes it a fascinating destination to explore.

For this project, I was commissioned to film, edit, and bring to life a short travel video showcasing Ishigaki’s beauty and atmosphere for Tokyo Weekender’s YouTube channel. The goal was to create an immersive experience that transports viewers to the island and invites them to travel next time they’re in Japan.

The video captures both the grandeur of Ishigaki’s landscapes and the intimate details that make the island special. This project reflects my love of travel, visual storytelling, and creating content that inspires audiences to explore Japan beyond its major cities.
